Peter Hotze [graphic] / M.L. Scott [painter]. [189-?]

Peter Hotze (1836-1909), a native of Innsbruck, Austria, came to Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas in the late 1850s. After the Civil War, in which he served, Hotze returned to Little Rock and went into the mercantile business with John Gould Fletcher, Sr. Later they became exclusively cotton dealers, which required Hotze to live in New York City for many years. In 1902 when he moved back to Little Rock, where he spent the remainder of his life.
